Educated Teachers & Intentional Learning

qualified teachers

At Gallatin Premier Childcare, we believe the quality of a childcare program begins with the quality, education, and intentionality of the teachers leading the classrooms each day.

While Tennessee licensing standards may allow childcare teachers to work in classrooms with minimal educational requirements, we believe children deserve higher standards in early childhood education.

Our educators are required to come to us with childcare experience along with either:
• a degree in early childhood education or a related field
OR
• a commitment to obtaining professional early childhood certification through a CDA or CCP credential program.

We strongly value the CDA and CCP certification process because these programs require no less than 120 hours focused specifically on early childhood education and child development. In comparison, a traditional bachelor’s degree often includes similar overall educational hours spread across both early childhood coursework and general education requirements.

We believe specialized early childhood education and intentional professional development help educators better understand:
• child development and emotional growth
• classroom structure and routines
• positive communication and guidance
• age-appropriate learning experiences
• kindergarten readiness
• social-emotional development
• hands-on STEAM learning opportunities

At Gallatin Premier Childcare, we proudly invest in our teachers and support continued professional development by covering the cost of the certification process for educators committed to growing within the early childhood field.

We believe educated and intentional teachers create stronger classroom environments, more meaningful learning experiences, and a higher-quality childcare experience for every child and family we serve. Above and beyond the standard state requirements.
