INDIVIDUAL CARE AND NUTRITION

Our two-year-olds are beginning to establish daily routines while continuing to develop their individual personalities and self-help skills. 

Mealtimes are shared in a warm, family-style setting, promoting social interaction, table manners, and language development. We serve only all-natural, organic meals and milk to support healthy growth. 

Diapering follows both scheduled intervals and individual needs, and we partner with families to support potty training when developmentally appropriate. 

Daily updates—including photos, meals, rest times, and developmental milestones—are shared electronically, keeping parents informed and engaged in their child’s learning journey.

 Prior to your child's start date, and typically during our enrollment meeting, we will discuss what to expect as your child enters our 2/3s classroom.  

You'll receive updates and communication through an electronic application.  These updates are in real-time, including photos, feedings, diaper changes, naps, etc and parents are notified through the application  via text or email.  Updates often include developmental milestones, along with a child's detailed day-to-day detail, such as feedings, diaper changes, mood and activities.  

We know how important it is to connect our parents to their children throughout the day with memories that last a lifetime.  

We offer parent teacher conferences and our teachers are always willing to schedule a personal phone call to discuss your child's educational experiences.  We know how important it is to stay connected to your toddler and we do our very best to provide the highlights of your child's day with us. 

Our active two-year-olds are developing a growing sense of independence as they explore the world around them. Through engaging, theme-based activities, our educators support emerging self-awareness while fostering social-emotional growth. 

We emphasize compassion, empathy, and cooperation through strong teacher-child relationships and consistent routines. Daily experiences are designed to promote life skills such as using manners and self-care, while also building foundational abilities in fine and gross motor development, early literacy, numeracy, and scientific thinking—all in a nurturing, developmentally appropriate environment.

 At Gallatin Premier Childcare, our 2s program is guided by the research-based Frog Street Curriculum and enriched through STEAM learning. 

This comprehensive approach supports cognitive, social-emotional, and physical development through purposeful play and hands-on activities. 

Each day includes music, movement, art, dramatic play, and storytelling—fostering creativity and communication. We integrate early literacy, math, music and science concepts into daily routines while promoting sustainability and self-awareness. Manners and kindness are modeled and taught each and every day.

Through observation and assessment, we tailor learning experiences to help each child reach their fullest potential in preparation for kindergarten and beyond.
